24th Annual Victorian Christmas Stroll
Full Description:
December 2 - December 23, 2005 • 10 a.m. until 8 p.m. Daily
Experience the charm of a 19th century holiday at the Tampa Bay Hotel during the Victorian Christmas Stroll at the Henry B. Plant Museum. Chosen as one of Southeast Tourism Society's Top 20 Events for the month of December, the museum welcomes thousands of visitors each year to the former 1891 Tampa Bay Hotel for Tampa's most popular holiday tradition.
With a lavishly decorated tree in each room of the museum and lush greenery draped throughout the Grand Hall, Victorian holiday traditions are brought to life. Antique toys are scattered about the museum, in addition to elegantly wrapped packages, imaginative decorations, and ornaments which capture the warmth of past holiday traditions.
The Museum Store, open daily from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., offers grand gifts, reproductions and beautiful holiday accessories.
Mondays are Family Day and admission is $5 and $2 for children 3-12. Tuesday through Sunday, admission is $9 and $3 for children 3-12. On Tuesdays, Seniors (65 & over) are admitted for $5. For more information, contact Sally Shifke at (813) 258-7302, or on weekends call (813) 254-1891. For safety and security reasons, strollers & cameras are not allowed in the museum.
